I'm getting up 4 to 5 times a night sometimes more to go to the bathroom, evidently their must be some other reason for it other than enlarged prostate as I had PVP almost two years ago. It helped daytime urination but sure hasn't been any help at nighttime. If anyone in the group has any ideas on what can be done to improve on this please let me know. Tired and sleepy Dean,

If anyone in the group has any ideas on what can be done to improve on this please let me know. Dean,  no one answer to my way of thinking.  Many things involved here. Some you can exert control over - and some, you probably can't. Such things as how much liquids you ingest;  how much sodium you ingest; how late in the evening you consumer liquids - these you have some control over. Other aspects such as bladder size;  how much your prostate protrudes up into the bladder neck - these, not so much control over. James

Do you know anything about circadian rhythm? No, not a thing. Maybe, you will find the following to be of interest. If you're getting up 4-5 times a night, your bladder is not emptying completely.  Even if you've had PVP, your prostate continues to grow. My guess is that is what's happening.  I would talk to your doctor about Avodart or Proscar to stop the growth and help shrink the prostate.  I had PVP 2 and 1/2 years ago and that's what I'm doing.  I still make 1-2 trips to the bathroom at night down from 3-4 prior to PVP.

Even if you've had PVP, your prostate continues to grow. I agree.  Funny thing though:  my observation has been that many PVP Practitioners put down the thought of taking 'something' [e.g., Saw Palmetto] as preventative maintenance.  Only makes good sense to me.  I take a daily dose of Saw Palmetto.
